CEO

Mandy Sijbrandij

Mandy Sybrandy CEO GLM Attractions

Mandy Sijbrandij is the owner and CEO of Global Leisure Management (GLM), where she leads a team of exceptional professionals. With a strong background in commercial real estate development, site selection, project feasibility and financial projections, Mandy brings a wealth of expertise to her role.

Prior to launching GLM, Mandy held the position of Vice President of Attractions at Koch Development, where she honed her skills as Director of Attractions and Operations Manager.  During her tenure, she played a pivotal role in the development and opening of Koch Development’s renowned SkyWheel® Attractions. Mandy built and led a team of general managers, assistant general managers, supervisors, and staff, while developing comprehensive policies, procedures, and programs to ensure seamless operations. Prior to her time at Koch Development, she served as Operations Manager for Pacific Development, where she provided operational oversight for the successful opening of 360 Pensacola Beach Observation Wheel. Mandy’s career in commercial real estate began in lease administration and she has since gained extensive experience in various domains such as office management, accounting, payroll, human resources, property management, website design and marketing.

Mandy is a graduate of Saint Louis University where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Organizational Studies and a minor in Hospitality Management. As a testament to her commitment to the industry, she is an active member of the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (IAAPA), Themed Attractions Association (TEA), and National Association of Amusement Ride Safety Officials (NAARSO). Additionally, Mandy holds the IAAPA Certified Attractions Executive certification.

HR Manager

Rachel Bigham

Rachel Bigham GLM Attractions HR Manager

Rachel Bigham is the Human Resource Manager for Global Leisure Management and SkyWheel Attractions. In her role, Rachel oversees all aspects of HR, demonstrating her expertise in recruitment, benefits administration, educational development, payroll management, and ensuring compliancy at both SkyWheel Myrtle Beach and SkyWheel Panama City Beach locations. Since joining the team in February of 2021, Rachel has played a pivotal role in shaping the company’s human capital strategies and fostering a positive work environment.

Rachel believes that employee empowerment and empathy are the pathway to a successful workforce and strives to implement strong employee recognition programs aimed at retaining and attracting top talent to the organization. Rachel is deeply committed to promoting diversity, equity and inclusivity within the workplace. She recognizes the value of different perspectives and believes that fostering a culture of acceptance and understanding leads to innovation and improved team dynamics.

Before joining Global Leisure Management and SkyWheel Attractions, Rachel held the position of Human Resource Manager for Koch Development. Prior to that, she served as the Human Resource Manager for the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Collinsville, where she honed her skills in managing HR functions for a diverse workforce demonstrating her ability to handle HR responsibilities in a demanding hospitality environment. Rachel’s experience also includes serving as the General Manager of Hampton Inn Edwardsville, where she gained valuable insights into overall business operations.

Rachel holds a bachelor’s degree in English from the University of Missouri-St. Louis. Additionally, Rachel is an active member of the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (IAAPA) and the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM). Rachel recently earned her SHRM Certified Professional certification, highlighting her commitment to staying up to date with industry best practices and emerging trends in HR management.

Accountant

Lisa Muich

In the role of Accountant, Lisa Muich provides a variety of fiscal services for Global Leisure Management. These services include Financial Statement Preparation, Budgeting & Forecasting, Accounts Receivable, and Accounts Payable.

Lisa is responsible for preparing the financial statements for SkyWheel Myrtle Beach, SkyWheel Panama City Beach, and SkyWheel Holding Company. This includes compiling financial data, reconciling accounts, and ensuring the accuracy and completeness of the financial statements. She helps develop financial plans and projections, monitors actual financial performance against the budget, and provides insights and recommendations based on the analysis.

Prior to joining GLM, Lisa began working with SkyWheel® at Koch Development Company in 2015. Lisa performed outsourced accounting services at CliftonLarsonAllen and Ganim, Meder, Childers, & Hoering, where she gained valuable experience in a wide variety of businesses.

Lisa attended Illinois State University and is a member of the National Association of Certified Public Bookkeepers.

Regional Manager

Angie Goeppinger

Angie GLM Attractions

Angie Goeppinger is an experienced regional manager for Global Leisure Management, overseeing both the Myrtle Beach and Panama City Beach locations. With over 15 years of management and multi-unit management experience in the retail, attractions, and restaurant industries, she has developed strong leadership skills. Angie is known for being people-oriented and result-driven, driving collaboration and partnerships across key functions such as Training, Marketing, Human Resources, Finance, and Maintenance within the operations team.

One of Angie’s primary responsibilities is leading performance management and talent development initiatives for all direct reports, aligning them with the company’s objectives. Prior to joining GLM, Angie successfully managed 16 retail locations for LIDS Sports Group, where she even managed one of the top districts in Miami, Florida. After her tenure at LIDS, she transitioned to become a director of operations for a Chick-fil-A franchisee, further expanding her management expertise.

Angie currently lives in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina where she is also actively involved in Partnership Grand Strand , serving on the board. Partnership Grand Strand (PGS) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit foundation and a five-year strategic initiative designed to accelerate economic prosperity and quality of life for all businesses and residents across Horry and Georgetown counties. Additionally, Angie has graduated from the Leadership Grand Strand Program, a prestigious initiative sponsored by the Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce. This 10-month program accepts 30 participants each year and focuses on developing informed, committed, and qualified individuals capable of providing dynamic leadership for the Grand Strand area. The participants work on team projects and meet monthly to enhance their leadership skills. Angie has also been certified in the IAAPA Certification for Attractions Managers course. She also holds a Level 1 NAARSO (National Association of Amusement Ride Safety Officials) certification.

Outside of work, Angie dedicates her free time to volunteering at her church’s children’s ministry program.

In addition to her professional accomplishments, Angie values her role as a wife to her husband Craig and takes pride in being a mother to her two beautiful daughters, Gabby and Ava Jane.

Communications Manager

Alyse Kuhlman

Alyse Kuhlman currently serves as the Communications Manager at Global Leisure Management. With over sixteen years of experience in the field of anthropology, she has honed her communication skills through her work in higher education and scientific research. Drawing on her extensive training as a project coordinator, Alyse is adept at communicating complex ideas and concepts in a clear and concise manner. Her expertise in the field enables her to effectively convey ideas to a diverse audience.

Alyse’s position at Global Leisure Management leverages her anthropological expertise to create compelling narratives and establish meaningful connections with individuals, establishing herself as a competent professional who is able to effectively bridge the gap between business and culture.

Alyse takes pride in her extensive work experience at St. Louis attractions. Throughout her career, she has held various roles that include intern (Missouri History Museum), general store cashier (Gateway Arch), tour guide (City Museum), parking attendant (Hollywood Casino Ampitheatre), and research scientist (Missouri Botanical Garden). Alyse’s diverse skill set allows her to effectively navigate different industry sectors and work collaboratively with people from diverse backgrounds. Her work experience has provided her with extensive knowledge and expertise in the St. Louis attractions industry.

Alyse spearheads the GLM Cares initiative, a testament to GLM’s commitment to giving back to the community. This endeavor allows her to utilize effective communication not only to engage diverse audiences but also to make a positive impact beyond the attractions sector.
